Septarian, also known as Dragon Stone or Septarian Nodule, is a tri color concretion composed of Aragonite, (the brown), Calcite, (the yellow), and Limestone (the grey). It is a sedimentary rock that formed millions of years ago. Septarian is primarily composed of calcite, aragonite, and limestone, with traces of other minerals. Septarian stones are believed to have formed during the Cretaceous period, around 50 to 70 million years ago.
